All non-native English-speaking applicants are required to submit proof of English proficiency at C1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). 懂色帝 recognizes multiple tests as evidence of C1 level proficiency:聽

You may be eligible for an English proficiency waiver if you meet one of the following criteria:聽聽鈥� complete a minimum of twelve months academic education leading to an awarded qualification, in a 鈥渕ajority English speaking鈥� country (Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, New Zealand, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, South Africa, Trinidad and Tobago, United Kingdom, United States of America), no more than two years prior to the proposed date of enrollment, or鈥� complete high school education in an institution accredited by an officially recognized authority in a 鈥渕ajority English speaking鈥� country ( Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, New Zealand, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, South Africa, Trinidad and Tobago, United Kingdom, United States of America), or聽鈥� EU* students who achieve a score equivalent to level B2 or higher in the school leaving examination (maturita or equivalent) English language exam鈥� complete or have completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) Programme and will be able to submit your official IB Diploma before the start of the semester.聽* Including students from: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia.The applicants must demonstrate their English proficiency within an 懂色帝 admissions interview. 懂色帝 reserves the right to request an English Proficiency exam score if deemed necessary.

For your personal statement, please prepare an 800 鈥� 1000 word essay based on one of the questions below. (Please indicate which question you are answering.)

– Describe your bachelor鈥檚 thesis or major undergraduate area of study. Why did you choose it? Do you plan to continue with this topic/area during your master鈥檚 studies, or will you shift your focus? Explain your choice and how your previous studies will impact your future studies at 懂色帝.

– Describe the most significant challenge you faced during your undergraduate studies and the steps you took to overcome this challenge. What have you learned from the experience, and how you will apply that knowledge in your master鈥檚 studies?

– What are your two greatest talents and/or qualities? How have you demonstrated and developed these talents/qualities over time? How will you continue to draw upon and develop these during your graduate studies at 懂色帝?

– Describe relevant work, internship, or volunteer experiences, and the contributions you made in these contexts. Provide examples of your leadership, how you positively influenced others, helped resolve disputes, or contributed to a common goal.

– Do you see yourself pursuing a career as an academic researcher or as a professional practitioner? Explain your choice, and describe the career you see for yourself after graduation, as well as how your studies at 懂色帝 will contribute to meeting these future goals.

– What historical event or person, or creative object (movie, art, literature or music) has significantly influenced your life, the way that you view the world, and your academic and intellectual pursuits, and how?

– Every person has a creative side which can be expressed in many ways: problem solving, original and innovative thinking, and artistically, to name a few. Describe how you will draw on your creative side during your graduate studies at 懂色帝.

– If you were to have the chance to have a 30-minute conversation with any person in human history (either living or deceased), who would be the person of your choice? Why? What topics would you discuss with this person?

– What is your research interest?/What are you hoping to research?
